What GM version do you have? By 'switching off' what do you mean (disable/restart?)? Have you seen this?

I wonder if he is trying to say that TMP installation is being blocked if compatibility checking has not be disable (Addon Compatibility Reporter or direct download from AMO).

GM released another nightly with the same problem. Don't update it. Stay with greasemonkey-2011.08.20

According to Link the change in GM was intentional and the fix will be in the next TMP release. So all future GM updates (releases and nightly) won't work with current TMP.

I am unable to drag tabs to rearrange/create new windows with this combination. Any chance for a fix akin to the one posted here?

Aye, however there have been compatibility updates since then which affect other addons I use, so I lose either way. Any chance someone could explain how I might make the same edit to the current version? I am by no means technically challenged, just have zero experience with addon file structure etc.

You might try this temporary fix from Rob64Rock (posted back about 3-4 pages). This may fix the drag/drop. I think everyone is waiting patiently for onemen's next build.

No-go on this build, can't drag. Appreciate the suggestion though, hadn't tried it until you mentioned it.

Thanks for the info. With that GM build middle-clicks came back to work. And me started to wait for an inevitable TMP update ;)

Oneman, This may of already been reported so I'm sorry for the echo if it has:

On WinXp with latest Win32 20110903 Aurora, Nightly and latest Fx 7 Beta on fresh install with only TMP(Default settings). I tested with both the latest official TMP Dev build 0.3.8.6pre.110429a or unofficial TMP Dev build 0.3.8.6pre110806a.

Bug 465086 - When closing a tab, other tabs should not resize until cursor leaves toolbar region.

Due to the new resizing tab close behavior, TMP is broke when using it's TMP Option to 'Do not close window when closing the last tab' or when using about:config pref:
browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab; set to false
Attachment:
File comment: Screenshot of Before closing Last Tab

By default without TMP installed when using the above about:config preference when closing the last tab(without moving mouse cursor position) a new tab appears and animates smoothly to its full length almost instantly.
Attachment:
File comment: Screenshot of After Closing Last Tab Without Moving Mouse Cursor Position with No TMP Installed.

But with TMP installed(Default settings) when using the above about:config preference when closing the last tab(without moving mouse cursor position) a new tab appears and the tab opening animation hangs at 100px(TMP min tab width setting) and only animates to its full length when moving mouse cursor out of tab bar.

When using Fx 5+ Resizing tab close behavior can be now be disabled with new userstyle:

Not sure what's going on but all of a sudden all links open in the same tab for me even though it's set to open all links in new tab. This worked just a few hours ago, then Greasemonkey updated and now it doesn't work? Waaay too odd.
Using Fx7 beta - 20100101 Firefox/7.0

EDIT: definitely GM latest nightly. Going back to the previous version.

Thanks for the info!
Cheers

Can you try installing a version of Firefox directly from Mozilla? I would recommend a using a new profile, too. Install TMP and see if it works. If so, there may be something with the Yandex Firefox that is incompatible with TMP.

I created a new profile, there TMP is working properly. in the old profile, I deleted all add-ons that are associated with the tabs, but it's still there TMP does not work. i need to TMP is work fine in my old profile :(

It may not necessarily be another tab-related addon that is the source of the conflict. Disable all other addons, leaving only TMP enabled and see if the conflict remains. If it is gone, enable one addon at a time along with TMP until the conflict returns. Then, confirm the conflict with just that suspected addon and TMP enabled. Report back here what you find out.

the problem was in addon Menu Editor II (https://addons.mozilla.org/ru/firefox/a ... editor-ii/) :|

The original Menu Editor works perfectly fine here.

Ditto. (One of my fave extensions).

UPDATE: It seems the original Menu Editor for Firefox is again actively developed by the original developers. There's no reason to keep updating this one, so I won't be making any updates as long as the original is active. I'll leave the last version here just for this message, in case people look for updates. I recommend you uninstall this one and go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/710 for the real thing.

Just to reinforce the fact!

Just for your information: If you use the Menu Editor addon to hide certain entries in the context menus this can also be managed by simple CSS in the firefox profile. This has the advantage that you have one less addon to scramble things up.

I don't know if this was posted before or not since I haven't searched this thread, but the easiest fix for the compatibility issue between GM and TMP is to change line 449 in contentLinks.js from:

Code:
  if ("GM_BrowserUI" in window && GM_getEnabled()) {

to:

Code:
  if ("GM_BrowserUI" in window && Application.prefs.getValue("greasemonkey.enabled", false)) {
