Hi there!

Whenever I have TMP multirow enabled and I open more tabs than rows can show at once and start to close them then the unused rows won't wind up. Steps to produce:
  • Create new, plain profile for Fx.
  • Start Fx with new profile and install TMP (latest beta build)
  • Load my TMP config file http://www.grocal.pl/temp/TMPpref.txt
  • Restart and open flickr.com and search for "ocean" for example.
  • Middle click on links to open them in background tabs until you highly overflow two rows (multirow is set to max 2 rows).
  • Start to close tabs starting from the first one from top-left by clicking or by CTRL+W shortcut
  • When you close as much tabs for the remaining ones to fit in one, first row you'll notice empty second row like this:
Image

It's a clean new profile, latest beta TMP and latest official Fx build. The problem started to occur a couple of months ago, probably with the first Fx versions with new version number policy (quick major releases) but I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks in advance for any help, hints or comments...

Fx theme? Any styles/css in userChrome.css? Tabs on top?

I'm having the exact same issue as grocal. Changing tab width didn't help. The profile is new, Tabs are on top, userChrome.css is unchanged. For me this also started a few months ago.

It looks like 0.4.0.2pre.120407b fixed the issue for me. Thanks!

I'd like to report UI bug, the all tabs button is absent despite it set in settings. When I make FF window smaller - the button appears.
FF 12 beta 6, win7 64, TMP 2012.04.17a (with stable reproducible as well), default theme, 1600x900 screen dimension

EDIT by makondo: i deleted your image. It stretches the page and is not necessary for this report. In the future, please resize images when posting in forum(-s).

Confirmed. I see this too. But! only if the button is placed on the tabbar. If it's on any other toolbar, it displays all right. Must be a bug.

alter4,

onemen is on vacation for the next couple of weeks and might not answer for a while. I'll try to remember to bump this thread again but feel free to do so as well.
Thanks for the report.

EDIT: correction: i just placed it on the far left of the tabbar (before the first tab) and it stuck there too. It seems it only disappears when placed on the right side of tabbar.

i don't like to add more options regarding the visibility of the all tabs button when not in overflow

maybe i just add
Code:
#tabbrowser-tabs ~ #alltabs-button { visibility: visible !important; }

to Tabmix style-sheet

Had to check something about tabbar scroll, went to change my multi-row setting to scrollable w/out buttons - nothing happened. Had to restart. I then changed it to scrollable with buttons and it changed immediately. I changed the option back to multi-row and had to restart again because it didn't change with the TMP dialog closing.

I faced another issue. I ran firefox 13 beta 2 and had a lot of tabs opened so even they couldn't fit 6 rows. But the issue is in tab rows scrolling behavior when I scroll them up and down using mouse. It looks weird, letters in tab captions are "dancing". Looks like this issues came with firefox 13 update.

FF 13 beta 2, win7 64, TMP 2012.05.07a

It might have to do with that smooth scrolling. Try disabling/enabling it and see if you notice any difference. I notice some 'flowing' of text on pages with that option introduced in Fx13. Could be related, worth a try.

I installed FF12 yesterday night and saw the issue gone.
I disabled smooth scrolling in FF 13, it doesn't affect issue. the issue is still there.
I gonna check another PC with my FF settings and plugins, may be the issue is related my hardware configuration somehow.

P.S. disabling smooth scrolling makes the issue just noticeable, looks the problem is really in new (smooth?) scrolling algorithm in FF13.
I really notice "flowing" on web-pages during quite fast smooth scrolling. It was really better in FF12. What the F...irefox

The issue was in hw, about:support told my FF didn't use hardware 2D acceleration. I updated video driver and now it works much better.
By the way the issue is negligible but it exists. New scrolling in FF 13 is still in polishing state I assume. Another PC with FF 13 works well but with same negligible scrolling effect.
Thank you guys for helping me to solve my troubles.

I hope they'll work on smooth scrolling 'cause so far i'm not impressed - i see background 'flowing' and overlapping while scrolling, as if it trips over itself, etc. Not impressed.
I'm not sure it's related but looks like it. HA is also a pain, mine is disabled.
Keep us posted.
Good Luck!

I am having issues with TMP. It was working fine last week, then all the sudden started doing what you see here http://img706.imageshack.us/img706/7461/tmpenabled.png. I've tried resetting all the settings to default, reinstalling, disabling all other addons, and creating a new profile. Nothing seems to work. I miss my TMP :(
