Lately, I find that middle click on a link no longer opens the link in a new tab. I have to right-click then select Open in new tab. It's of course a little more comfortable to just use middle click and I'm a bit spoiled.

Does this capability still exist? Since I so seldom "mess" with my TabMix settings, I can't rightly find where the option is that should make all this come true again.

Thanks.

Thanks for the reply. O crud, I just noticed I have this in the wrong forum, should be in problems. Apologies, all.

Right, it isn't set to open either in current tab. I have my Logitech cordless, led mouse set for middle button = middle button. Could it be incorrect as I have it?

test if Ctrl+click open in new tab, it should work the same as middle click

also test how middle click work without Tabmix, it should open links in new tab also without Tabmix

make sure you don't have other extensions that configure middle click (Linkification ?)

Well, that's pithy. Ctrl+click works fine. Just Middle click not.

Not sure how to "disconnect" Tabmix.

No such extensions.

Thanks for following up.

Disable TMP from the Addons manager/restart.

Yep! Middle click functions just fine without TabMixPlus. Any idea what is going on?

Thanks again.

You mean with TMP disabled Mclick opens links in new tabs?
What happens when you Mclick with TMP enabled?
Check Fx Options/Advanced/General > Use autoscroll - is it UNchecked?

Yes.

Nothing at all.

No, it was checked. Let's see if there is any change now, with it unchecked.

Nope. No difference, with Use autoscroll unchecked.

do you see any message in the error console after you Mclick on a link?

try Tabmix on new clean profile, if Mclick work, go back to your current profile and try to disable your other extension one at a time.
restart firefox after each extension you disabled and test if Mclick work

make sure browser.tabs.opentabfor.middleclick is true

WestofYouLB,
in case you don't know what the above means, it's all explained in the troubleshooting tips linked in our signatures (including about:config strings).
